Edward S. Williams died Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from pulmonary tuberculosis at his home 215 north Green street. The deceased was born May 4, 1869, near Troutman's station and was in his fortieth year at the time of his death. Mr. Williams was a member of Co. M, 158th Indiana, and served in the Spanish American War. He leaves a mother and two sisters. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning from the home, 215 North Green street. Source:

The funeral of the late Edward S. Williams occurred today from his late residence on north Green street. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. Alexander Asher. The pall bearers were Harry Lucas, Walter Kelley, James Nelson, Harry Sering, George Little and John McCarthy, all of whom were comrades of the deceased during the Spanish war. The body was taken laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery.
