Dorsie R. Williams, 61, of 614 Chandler, and a Danville resident about 40 years, died at 2:45 a.m. today (Sept. 30, 1968) at Lake View Memorial where he had been a patient two days. He had been ill about six months. He was born Jan. 11, 1907 in Wingate, Ind., the son of William and Grace Utterback Williams. He married Jessie Bell Hundley Dec. 4, 1932 in Danville, and she survives. Also surviving are a son billy in the Army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Braxton (Rosemary) Bonds of Winthrop Harbor, and Mrs. Billy (Betty Lou) Cox of Danville; two brothers, Robert B. “Moon” and Carl, both of Danville; one sister, Mrs. James (Annabelle) Maloney of Brown Deer, Wis., and six grandchildren. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Chauffers and Teamsters Union. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pape Memorial Home with the Rev. Lyle P. Muller officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. – jlr
