Daniel Williams, aged 76 years, died Tuesday at his home in Waveland. The funeral occurred Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the family home.  Mr. Williams was a native of Kentucky, but came to this county when a boy and grew up on a farm. When the war broke out he enlisted for three years with the 120th Indiana and served in Capt. McClaskey’s regiment. When his services expired he re-enlisted and served altogether over four years his regiment being one of the last to be mustered out. Mr. Williams leaves eight children, six of whom live in Brown Township and two, Williams Brothers the plumbers, in Crawfordsville. He was an excellent old man and his death is deplored. By a strange coincidence the Methodist minister, J. J. Claypool, now stationed at Waveland, was during the war Chaplain of Mr. Williams’ regiment, and he will conduct the funeral services. - thanks so much to Sharon for such an amazing job of adding obits
