Word was received here recently of the death of Thomas J Williams, 87, who formerly resided on a farm near Hillsboro later residing in Waynetown and Crawfordsville. He died Thursday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hazel Lockard in Lebanon where they had moved about a year ago.  He had been seriously ill the past 10 days and death was attributed to cancer.  He was born Feb 22, 1866 in Somerset, Ky the son of William and Martha Williams. On Sept 22, 1887 he married Ida B. Lockard in Kentucky who preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Crawfordsville.  Surviving besides the daughter are several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held from the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown Saturday afternoon with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine in charge. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – kbz
