Wilkinson - Mary Ellen Rogers

Hillsboro, March 24 - Mrs. Mary Ellen Wilkinson, 77, resident of this vicinity nearly all of her life, died at her home here Friday night at midnight after an illness of more than two months. Mrs. Wilkinson who was suffering from a complication of diseases had been in a serious condition since Jan 16.
The deceased was born on a farm two miles northwest of Wallace on October 23, 1856, the daughter of Lewis and Mary Keller Rogers. She was married to WT Wilkinson in December 1880. Her husband preceded her in death by three years.
Mrs. Wilkinson became a member of the Freedom Christian Church when she was a girl, later transferring her membership to Hillsboro Christian Church. She spent all her life in Fountain County with the exception of a few years she lived in Crawfordsville.
The survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Della Lambdin of Veedersburg, Mrs. Cecil McClure of near Yountsville, Mrs. Rose Rynearson of Anderson, Mrs. Don Taylor of ____ and Mrs. Forest Bolen of Veedersburg; one son Orville of Hillsboro ? - rest of obit is gone (from the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery database - wonderful job by the Proctors)
