Waynetown - Dorris Wilkinson, 82 of Rt 1, a retired farmer died at his home at 4:55 a.m. today. He had been ill since Tuesday. Mr. Wilkinson was a trucker early in life and employed many years in the Green Street Tavern at Crawfordsville. He moved to Waynetown in 1901 from Ridge Farm Illinois. He was a past master and 50-year member of Waynetown Lodge F&AM 302. He was a member of Ridge Farm Christian Church. Mr. Wilkinson attended Ridge Farm schools and Crawfordsville Business College. He was born Sept 26, 1891 near Newman Ill a son of George B. and Stella Chapin Wilkinson., He was married to Waneta Bard of Waynetown Oct 11, 1913. Surviving with the widow are a son, Donald of Rt 1; a brother, Arthur of Pontiac, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Ola Perry of Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard, killed during WWII. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m .Monday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home - kbz
