Waynetown - Donald E. Wilkinson, 72, died at 5:10 p.,m. Monday after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home on Rt 1, Waynetown. Mr. Wilkinson farmed the land on which he was born until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302, Alamo Order of Eastern Star 498, Wallace Low 12 Club and Ben Hur Antique Classic Car Club. He was a WWII Navy veteran and graduated from Waynetown HS in 1932. He was born southeast of Waynetown June 26, 1914 to Doris and Waneta Bard Wilkinson. He was married At Indianapolis June 18, 1939 to Velma Frodge. She survives. Also surviving ar ehis mother, of Crawfordsville and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard who was killed in WWII and his father in 1974. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Waynetown masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
