Waynetown - Burt A Wilkins, 90, died at the Ben Hur Home at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday. He had been in failing health four years and was seriously ill five days. He was a son of Mrs. Laura Wilkins and was born Nov 23, 1874 in Oregon. He was married to Besse Wilson in Oregon. She died in 1956. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and was a special agent for the Hartford Fire Insurance for 50 years retiring in 1947. He lived in Colorado before moving to Indianapolis and with the O.R. Martins of near Waynetown before moving to the Ben Hur Home. Survivors include two granddaughters, Mrs. Barbara Yatta of Greenly, Colo and Mrs. Jean Dedford of Lodi, Calif; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Everet in 1958 and Martin in 1918. Friends may call at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown after 4 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary in Indianapolis where friends may call after 4 p.mm. Thursday. Services will be there at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at the Washington Park Cemetery on E. Washington Street in Indianapolis. - kbz
