Source: Crawfordsville Review Wednesday April 12, 1916
Relatives here yesterday received word of the death of Mrs. Mollie WILHITE widow of the late Warner Wilhite in Washington DC. The family were for many years residents of this city and Mr. Wilhite was at one time sheriff of Montgomery County. About 26 years ago the family removed to Washington where Mrs. Wilhite was connected for several years with the pension department of the government. The deceased was 72 years of age. The cause of her death was acute indigestion and heart trouble. She has been in failing health for several years. Since the death of her husband she has resided with her only child, Mrs. Dr. Charles Ferguson. Mrs. Wilhite was a lovable, Christian woman and is well remembered by many of our older citizens. She was born at the old Sidener home 3 miles south of this city and until the removal of the family to Washington was a continuous resident of this city and county. Mrs. Wilhite is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ferguson one sister, Mrs. Allen Robertson of this city and two brothers, William Sidener of this city and James B. Sidener of Indianapolis. The funeral will be from the home in Washington Thursday afternoon and the services will be in charge of Rev. Earle Wilfley, formerly of this city of whose church Mrs. Wilhite was a member. - typed by kbz
