Mrs. Margaret Wilhite, relict of Paschal Wilhite, died yesterday afternoon at her home in New Market of a complication of diseases. She was about seventy years of age and had been quite low for two months previous to her death. The funeral will occur Sunday morning at the New Market Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilhite leaves one daughter, Julia. She was a most estimable old lady and leaves quite a valuable estate. - kz

Paschal Wilhite and wife, who resided a greater portion of their lives on their farm near New Market, were well known throughout the county. Mr. Wilhite died about two years ago, and his wife Margaret followed him to the beyond a short time ago. During their lives, they were tireless workers, economical almost to denying themselves common necessities, and left a large amount of cash and land to be distributed among the heirs. During his life, although Mr. Wilhite was known as being rather close, he was always ready to help a man in distress or close circumstances, who showed industry, economy and disposition to do the square thing. Many were the deeds of human kindness performed, known only to himself and the recipients of his benefactions.
By the terms of the will of Mrs. Wilhite, lately admitted to probate, there are 17 relatives who are cash beneficiaries, receiving amounts ranging from $200 to $2000. These legacies aggregate $12,550. The New Market Baptist church received $800 of the above amount, and Sarah E. Blake, $500 for kind services rendered during Mrs. Wilhite's last illness. By the terms of the will the real personal property is to be turned into cash by the executor and the residue, after all debts incidents to the execution of the will are paid, turned over to relatives specified in the will. – thanks to Kim H.
