Word was received here early Wednesday morning by Mrs. Homer E. Biddle that her father had passed away at 1 o'clock a.m. Wednesday having been in poor health for more than two years. Death was due to complications. Mr. Wilhite's death occurred at Gary, where he has been living with a daughter. Harvey T. Wilhite was born on a farm near Ladoga Nov 18, 1847. Alarge part of his life was spent in this county in Wingate and vicinity. He was twice married. Hisf irst wife was Elvira Johnson and his second Drusilla Johnson both of whom have been dead many years. The following children surviving by his first wife: Ekellis WIlhite of ROckford, Ill; and Mrs. Merrit Phillips of Gary; by his second wife, thef ollowing children survive: George WIlhite of Clinton Ind; Mrs. Homer E. Biddle of this city; Mrs. Ethel Fowler of Theodore, Ala; Mrs. Elsie Brown of Gary, ind; Mrs. Luther WiIlhite of Chicago and Mrs. Bertha McArty of Indianapolis. Seventeen grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and ahost of other relatives and friends survive. He was a member of the Christian Church Odd Fellows & Masons. Funeral services have not been definitely arranged, pending word from the daughter in Alabama. If she cannot attend the funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Chiristian Church in Wingate.

Wingate, March 31 - The funeral of Harvey Wilhite, a former resident was held at the Christian Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Blanche Menaugh, Mrs. Jess Haxton, MS Crane and HH Gardiner accompanied by Miss MIldred Coon at the piano, sang Jesus Lover of my SOuld, Old Rugged Cross and Rock of Ages. Rev JE Fry preached the sermon. Grandchildren carried the flowers and brother Odd Fellows Clyde Wade, Kelsey Hightower, Hubert Irvin, Charley Oxley, Squire Henry and alfred Hightower were the pall beaers. Interment was made in the Wilhite Cemetery east of wingate. Mr. Wilhite died at the home of relatives in Gary.
