Wilhite - Angelina Tansy - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Angelina WILHITE, who made her home here some years ago with her daughter, the late Mrs. EE MOORMAN, died at her home in Indianapolis on Wed. of last week. Funeral services were held at the Englewood Christian Church by Rev. Mr. Orcutt. Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Wilhite's maiden name was TANSY and she was born near Mooresville Jan 5, 1839. She was 1st marriage to David HADLEY, by whom one son survives, Oliver Hadley. Mr. Hadley was a soldier in the Civil War. After his death she marr. Aaron WILHITE, of Hall, Morgan County. Of their 8 children, all excepting Mrs. Moorman are still living. There are also 25 grandchildren. Since the death of Mrs. Moorman, she has made her home with Mr. Moorman and has devoted her life to the care of the granddaughter, Mary Virginia. The large attendance at her funeral was an eloquent testimony to the esteem in which she was held in the Englewood community. - kbz
