In a letter written by Mrs. Blanchard of Delphi to Charles Kirkpatrick, received yesterday morning, brings to friends lure the sad news of the detail of Mrs. M. A. B. Wilber, mother of Rev. Thomas B. Wilber, formerly pastor of the New Richmond M. E, church. Mrs. Wilber had been ill for sometime, though this was the first friends here had known of her illness. Rev Wilber and his family were expected to arrive in Delphi yesterday from their home in Flandreau, South Dakota. Mrs. Wilber passed away in her old home, the home of her childhood in Delphi. The funeral will occur at 2 o’clock this (Thursday) afternoon. Mrs. Wilber had come from South Dakota some few weeks ago to Delphi, called there by the death of Mr. Jack Case, her brother-in-law, and had since remained with her bereaved sister, Their many friends here sympathize and mourn with the family of Mrs. Wilber who had a host of friends in New Richmond. - KBZ

Mrs. M. A. B. Wilber died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jennie Case, in Delphi, at 2 o’clock Monday morning, March 1. With her son, Rev. T. B. Wilber, she came five weeks before from her home in Flandreau, South Dakota, to attend the funeral of Mr, Case. She had remained with her sister, though in poor health and had made the journey from Flandreau against the advice of her physician. She was bedfast about ten days, and three days before her passing away she was stricken with pneumonia which caused her death.
Mary Adelaide Blanchard Wilber, second child of James R. and Eliza Blanchard, was born in Delphi, Ind April 22, 1842; died at the old homestead Monday, March 1, 1915, aged 72 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Z. P. Wilber September, 6, 1860, to which union three children were born, two of whom, Wilbur Fisk and Blanche, died in infancy; her husband preceding her to the spiritual world August 23, 1889. One son, three grandchildren, one sister, one brother and many friends survive her. Deceased was a noble Christian woman, being a life long member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral was conducted from her old home 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon, the services being in charge of Dr. James G. Campbell of Greencastle assisted by Dr. Aaron Wood of Lafayette and Rev. Charles L. Harper, pastor of the church in Delphi. Interment was made in the Blanchard burial lot in the IOOF cemetery. - KBZ

Rev. T. B. Wilber, wife and son Joyce, who arrived in Delphi Tuesday of Iast week from Flandreau, South Dakota, to attend the funeral of the minister’s mother, are returning to Flandreau this week. Rev. Wilber has resigned the pastorate of his church in Flandreau, two weeks ago, and then expected soon to return to Delphi to live. As soon as final arrangements can be made the family will then return to Delphi (about April first.) Rev. Wilber’s state of health is such that on the advice of his physician he is giving up his pastoral work for a year at least. - KBZ
