Tragedy at Browns Valley. Warren Williams, well known here,
was struck by the south bound passenger train, last Friday
morning, at the fatal upper crossing in Browns Valley, and
suffered injuries that caused his death in a short time. He did
not regain consciousness. He was on his way to the Van station in
a klondike, which prevented him seeing the approaching train. He
leaves a wife and one son, Caleb, who is married. Funeral
services were held at the Christian Church in Browns Valley on
Monday morning. Interment at Indian Creek Cemetery. Mr. Williams
worked at the blacksmith trade in Waveland some years ago. He
owned a farm, but was living in the valley. - transcribed by kbz
