Waynetown -- Walter Atwood (Bud) Williams, 62,
a retired railroader, who had been ill with leukemia since lst April,
died at 4 a.m. Friday qat his home at Waynetown. He had been
hospitalized several times. Born Dec 2, 1896, at New Market, Mr.
Williams was the son of Fred and Margaret Elmore Williams. He married
Lula Lamb at Hillsboro Nov 28, 1918. Survivors include a son, Jake
Williams, Crawfordsville; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Foxworthy, Marshall,
Mrs. Letty King, Bloomingdale, Mrs. Margaret Keller, Waynetown and Mrs.
Rowena Penrod, Otis AFB, Mass, four brothers, Warner Williams of
Danville, Ill; Paul and Charles Williams of Crawfordsville and Clayton
Williams of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Mabel McNeely of Indianapolis; 15
grandchildren, 3 uncles and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by a daughter and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Monday in Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown with burial at
Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Homer Cole will be officiating
