J.O. Williams was in business at the same place for thirty-five years. J.O. Williams, 67 years of age, a well known resident and business man of this city, died of a complication of diseases at 11:30 o'clock Wednesday evening at his home, 103 East College street. He had been ill for several months. Mr. Williams was prominent in Crawfordsville as a plumber and his death will be mourned by many friends over the County. For the last thirty-five years he has been in the plumbing business with his brother, William Williams, at the same location, 121 South Green street. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home, 103 East College street. Mr. Williams was born August 30, 1855, near Greencastle. He later moved to near Waveland. He was married to Miss Ida VanSlyke, Oct. 7, 1884. He came to Crawfordsville from Waveland in 1887 where he started in the plumbing business. One year later he took headquarters at 121 South Green street and the business has been located there ever since. Besides his widow he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Roy Weimer of Berkley, Calif., Mrs. Roy Young of Atlanta, Ga., and Rovene and Blanche Williams, both at home.
