Elmer E. Williams died at his home on Wood Street on Wednesday
morning. He has been suffering for years with heart trouble, and
had an acute attack while in the barber shop the preceding
evening. Funeral service at the home on Friday afternoon will be
in charge of Rev. Hubert Hugo. Elmer Ellsworth Williams, son of
Daniel N. and Margaret Penny Williams was born in Waveland Oct
17, 1866 and lived all his life here with the exception of one
year in Ohio and one at West Baden. He married Mrs. Nina Jarvis
Johnson April 1905. She survives him with one son, Henry Clay;
two stepdaughters, Mrs. Oliver Conner of Russellville and Mrs.
Max White of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; Martha Carolyn and
Joyce Joan Connor; by one brother, William of Crawfordsville; and
by three sisters, Mrs. Walker Porter of Portland Mills and Ella
and Mary Williams of Waveland. Mr. Williams was a devoted husband
a kind father and a good neighbor. For many years he followed
stock buying and was a keen judge of all kinds of stock and his
opinion was often sought. He realized that death was near and
mentioned it to his family the preceding evening. He died while
