Whitesel - Ollie Cox

Again has God in His infinite power and wisdom seen fit to call from our midst another precious soul. Ollie Cox was born near Garfield, Ind., Dec. 25, 1883; died at her home in Williamsport, Ind., Aug. 21, 1901. Her illness was only of a few days’ duration and she bore her suffering with patience, never complaining. Life seemed so sweet to her in the companionship of husband and friends, and it seems so hard that she should be so suddenly taken away, but the all wise Father doeth all things well.
Only five short weeks did she live to enjoy the companionship of the husband she loved so well, but now she is waiting for him on that other shore where there will be no more parting and heartaches, all joy and happiness.
She leaves besides her husband a father, mother, brother, and three sisters to mourn her departure. The remains were brought to the home of her father, near Mace, Aug. 22, and the funeral services were conducted at the Linnsburg Christian Church Aug. 23 by Rev. Frank Hole, after which the remains were laid to rest in the beautiful K. of P. Cemetery followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends.
Ollie will be missed in the family circle where she was so dearly loved and by the young husband left so desolate, and although their hearts seemed crushed with the terrible blow may they remember that their loss is her gain. Ollie has met her last enemy and has fallen asleep in Jesus.
The bereaved husband, parents, brother and sisters have the sympathy of the entire community in this dark hour, and although the sympathy of friends cannot fill this aching void, Jesus is willing and able to comfort those who come to Him in their hour of affliction. -s
