Waveland – Michael Dennis White, 62, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at his home here. He had been in failing health six years. Mr. White was employed by Indianapolis Power Light Co for 25 years. Later, prior to his retirement, he farmed in Parke County. He was a member of F&AM Lodge 753 at Tompkinsville, Ky and was the oldest member of the lodge. Born July 26, 1903 in Monroe County, Kentucky, he was the oldest of 8 children born to John A and Sarah Bowman White. He was married June 30, 1934 to Marie Morrman. They were married at Indianapolis. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Wilson Lane of Indianapolis and Mrs. William Sauter of Clermont; a brother, Baxton of Tompkinsville; six sisters: Mrs. Doublas Evans and Mrs. Earl Hale both of Tompkinsville; Mr. Charles Hathoway of Columbus; Mrs. Buford Palmore of Greenwood and Mrs. V.A. Hawkins and Mrs. Charles Ludwig of Indianappolis; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Machledt & Servies funeral home here with Rev. Lowell Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Portland Mills Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. - kbz
