COVINGTON — Kipling C. White, 70, of Covington, died Sunday morning in Robert Long Hospital at Indianapolis, where he had been a surgical patient. He was born March 15, 1899 in Fountain County, a son of William N. and Mary Emily Campbell White. He was married Oct. 4, 1924 to Mary Murphy, who preceded him in death July 30, 1955. Survivors include a brother, Luke of Covington; two nieces, Mrs. Frank Loda of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mrs. M. Tiyagi of Toronto; and a nephew, Kipling N. White of Covington. He was preceded in death by a brother. He attended Covington High School and Indiana University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Before moving to Covington in 1965, he resided in Evanston, Ill., where he was president of Underwriters Adjustment Co., until his retirement in 1964. He was until his death a vice president and director of the Fountain County Trust Co. of Covington. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home, with Rev P. J. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, and friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening. --typed by Walt W
