White - Katherine Enleigh Banks

Mrs. Katherine W. WHITE, wife of Edward N. White, died Friday night at 11 at her home 515 E. Jefferson St, after an illness of a year. Katherine Enleigh Banks White was born the daughter of Thomas F. and Miranda Brown Banks in Mulberry Grove, Illinois. On June 1, 1905 she was united in marriage to Edward N. White and to this union one child was born, Edward Eugene White. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church in the town of her birth and upon her removed to Crawfordsville, 18 years ago her membership was transferred tot eh 1st Methodist Episcopal Church of this city. She lived a devoted Christian life to the end and was a faithful attendant at the services of worship in her church as long as her health permitted. Besides her husband and son, the deceased is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Nellie B. Morrison of this city and Mrs. BJ Boyle of Terre Haute and two brothers, WS Banks of Long Beach, California; and James Banks of Mulberry Grove, Illinois. Mrs. White was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The funeral services will be held at the Utterback & Murphy Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Dr. John Ward, pastor of the 1st Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Oak Hill. The body will remain at the funeral home until time of the services and friends may view the remains there. - kbz
