New Market, Dec 3 - Delmar I. Whitaker, born June 10, 1903 at Veedersburg, died at the home of his mother in New Market this morning following a 15 months illness from a complication of diseases. Death took place at 3 a.m.
Mr. Whitaker was the son of William and Elva Ingersoll Whitaker. He was a member of the United Brethren Church and Modern Woodman Lodge.
When 7 years old he moved with the family to New Market from Veedersburg. He attended the New Market schools and in 1923 was graduate from New Market HS.
His mother and two sisters, Crystal and Pauline, both at home survive. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Cornelius Airhart in charge. Burial will be made in the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. - kbz
