At the residence of her father at Darlington, August 5, 1868, Ella Wheeler
Just as the hands of night were falling upon the still earth. The Angel of Death, with his strong arm, clipped in his sure embrace a departure of our circle. Another jewel has been taken from the casket. She had recently united with the Presbyterian church and shown to the world her motto, "God's will be done.' Her place in the church and in the family cannot be filled by another. All mourn her departure. May He who tempers the word to the shorn lamb protect and comfort the bereaved parents in this the hour of their sore trial. - transcribed by Kim H - thanks kiddo for all your help :)
