HILLSBORO -- Joseph R. Wever, 50, a former Fountain County resident, died Tuesday night in St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka after being a patient there for several weeks. He was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Colison, Ill., and his parents were Joseph and Maude Wever. In January of 1938 he married Mary Ruth Davis. The couple lived in the Newtown and Covington 1ocales for a few years before moving to Mishawaka where they lived for 20 years. He was a steel company employe. Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Phillips of Mishawaka and Katherine Ann and Ruth at home; and a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Stine of Covington. The body was taken to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro where arrangements are pending. --typed by Walt W

Hillsboro---Funeral services for Joseph R. Wever, 50, a former Fountain County resident, who died Tuesday night, Nov. 27, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, were held Friday afternoon at the Crumley Funeral Home here. He had been hospitalized for several weeks. Mr. Wever was born Dec. 23, 1911 at Collison, Ill., the son of Joseph and Maude Wever. He was married in January 1938 to Mary Ruth Davis, who survives. He had resided near Newtown and Covington for several years before moving to Mishawaka 5 years ago. He had been employed by a steel company. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Phillips of Mishawaka, Katherine and Janet, both at home; and one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Stine of Covington. The Rev. Ross Kirk officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery here. --typed by Walt W
