Westfall - Vezey

Waynetown, Ind Dec 27 - Another of Waynetown's good citizens answered the roll call Thursday afternoon at half past 4 o'clock. Mr. Vezey Westfall's spirit took its flight to the great beyond at that hour. mr. Westfall was born and raised in this community and was well and favorably known for a great many miles around. He had been ill but a few days with typhoid fever. He had helped to take care of Mr. Parker during his illness. He was near 60 and leaves a wife and one daughter, Mrs. Ariel Blackford the latter by a former companion. The widow was Miss Nannie Barton before their marriage. Mr. Westfall was a long time member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. He had also belonged to the Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias lodges of this place. The funeral will take place Sunday at 11. the sermon will be spoken by Eld. John P. Henson of C'ville. The lodges will use their itualistic burial service at the Maosnic cemetery where the body will be lain to rest. Shuler & Birdcell have charge of the body. - typed by kbz

Veasey Westfall, a well known citizen of Waynetown died at his home there Thursday afternoon at 4:30 after an illness of a week with typhoid fever. His funeral will be held Sunday at 11 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Hensing of this city and interment will take place in the Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Westfall was 53 years of age and was a resident of the county all of his life. He is survived by a wife and one daughter, Mrs. Blackford of Waynetown and O.M. Barton of this city was a brother-in-law. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows Lodges and of the Baptist Church. - typed by kbz
