West - son of Joel - 1911

Word was received here late Friday afternoon of the death of the 14-year-old son of Joel West, brother of Judge Jere West and Bruce West of this city. Death took place at the home of the lad’s parents in Kansas and a telegram stated that the body would be brought to Crawfordsville for burial. Details regarding the sad affair are not known at this time. This is the second calamity that has befallen the family of Mr. West since they went to Kansas. A few months ago, while driving a binder, Mr. West was terrible injured when the horses became frightened and ran away. He was dragged a considerable distance and suffered injuries that, for a time, it was feared would cause his death. As it was one of his feet had to amputated. Mr. and Mrs. West will probably arrive here with the body of their son some time Saturday.
Note: I do not see any West who died 1911 buried here. Any one know his name
