Welsh, Mrs. Rose - Friends may call 2:30 - 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland. Service there 11 a.m. Monday. Interment New Ross Cemetery. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Two sons, Harold and Everett a daughter, Lois; three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. - kbz
Rose Welsh of Waveland, age 102, died Thursday evening, August 4, at the home of a daughter in Ladoga. She was born in Trimbell, June 22, 1881, the daughter of Simpson and Rebecca Hall Creed. October 22, 1902, she married Marshall Welsh, who died in 1961. Mrs. Welsh was a member of the Trimbell Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mercedes Seaman of Ladoga, Dorothy German of Lake Holiday and Jeanne Scott of Danville; four sons, Leo of Covington, Kenneth of Peru, Lorin of Williamsport and Herbert of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with burial in New Ross Cemetery. – thanks to s

Waveland - Mrs. Rose Welsh, 102, died Thursday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Mercedes) Seaman of Ladoga. She was born June 22, 1881, in Trimble, Ill. Her marriage was in 1902 in Paris, Ill to Marshall Welsh. He preceded her in death in 1961. Mrs. Welsh was a member of Trimble Christian Church. Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Seaman are two other daughters, Mrs. John (Jeanne) Scott of Danville and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) German of Lake Holiday and four sons: Leo Welsh of Covington, Kenneth Welsh of Peru, Lorin Welsh of Williamsport and Herbert Welsh of Indianapolis. - kbz
