Darlington - Richard C. Weliever, 58, of Rt 1, Darlington, died Wednesday in Community Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been a farmer in the Darlington area all his adult life. Mr. Weliever was a 1935 graduate of Darlington HS and was a member of the Darlington United Methodst Church and Darlington Masonic Lodge and a director of the Montgomery County Farm Co-op. Born Aug 1, 1917 in Montgomery County he was a son of Harry M. and Gladys Cox Weliver. He was married Aug 18, 1939 to Mildred Quigg near Darlington. Surviving is the widow; his father; two sons, Charles E of Brazil and Robert J. of Darlington; five daughters, Mrs. Sam (Betty) Moffitt of Waynetown; Mrs. Tom (Mary Lou) Alexander of Darlington and Donna J; Nancy M. and Susan L all at home; two brothers, Donald H and James L of Darlington; a sister, Mrs. Hubert Lynch of Plainfield and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Burkhart Funeral Home. Darlington Chapel with the Rev. Dave Stouse officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Friday. Friends may all at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

Born in Montgomery County, he was married in 1939 near Darlington to Mildred Quigg and she survives. Mr. Weliever was a 1935 graduate of Darlington HS and was a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church, ic Lodge and director of Montgomery County Farm Co-op. Surviving with his widow are two sons, Charles E. of Brazil and Robert J. of Darlington; five daughters, Mrs. Sam (Betty) Moffitt of Waynetown; Mrs. Tom (Mary Lou) Alexander of Darlington and Donna J; Nancy M. and Susan L all at home; his father, Harry Weliever of Darlington; two brothers, Donald H. and James L, both of Darlington and a sister, Mrs. Hubert Lynch of Plainfield.
