Welch - Martha Good Trout

Mrs. Harry Miles received word on Tuesday afternoon of the sudden death of her mother, Mrs. Martha J. WELCH from a heart attack. Mrs. Welch, a resident of Waveland for many years, has made her home with the eldest daughter, Mrs. Rose Stultz, in Zionsville for the past 9 years. Mrs. Welch was a member of the Baptist Church here until it was torn down moving her letter to the Methodist Church at that time. She was a devout church member as long as her health permitted. She was married to James E. TROUT Aug 1, 1884. To this union were born 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls all of whom survive, the husband and father departing this life April 9, 1915. She later married John Welch of Crawfordsville in May 1923 whose death occurred March 31, 1931. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist Church at Zionsville Thurs afternoon at 1 o'clock. She leaves to mourn her loss the 7 children, Mrs. Rose Stultz; Roy; Omer and Arthur Trout of Zionsville; Mrs. Anna Hendrickson of Shelbyville; Mrs. Goldie Stultz of Ninevah and Mrs Marie Miles of Waveland; 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren besides a host of friends both here and in Zionsville. Burial in Zionsville Lutheran Cemetery. -- kbz
