Alva Dean Webster, 84 of Rt 8, Crawfordsville died Saturday in Culver Hospital after a brief illness. An area farmer, Mr. Webster was a graduate of Russellville HS. He attended Purdue University. He was a member of Woodlawn Heights Christian Church, Farm Bureau and Purdue Century Club. He was first married to Elsie McGaughey, who preceded him in death. He was married in Jan 1935 to Olive Duell Green who survives. He was born Jan 9, 1895 near Russellville to Charles T. and Emma Everman Webster. Mr. Webster is survived by two sons, Robert and Herman Webster of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Mrs. Mildre Geyer of Denver, Colo; Mrs. Doyne Mark, Noblesville and Mrs. Nellie Craft, Crawfordsville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Neese, Crawfordsville; a sister Mrs. Margaret Ramsey, Russellville; 13 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren 3 step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Austin officiating. Burial in Hebron Cemetery, Russellville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
