Guy Eschol WEAVER, 57, died Monday evening Oct 10 6:30 in the Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been seriously ill for 10 weeks. Mr. Weaver was born at St. Berniece, Indiana March 4, 1892 son of William and Loretta Morgan Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Geneva and two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Robinson of Liberty and Rosemary 13 at home; 2 sons, Harold of Indianapolis and Gordon also at home; his father who is 89 of Crawfordsville; one brother Homer of Waveland a sister, Mrs. Roy Sowers of Marshall; two half sisters Mrs. Lester Powell and Mrs. Harold Engersol of Crawfordsville and 3 grandchildren. A brother, Elijah Weaver of San Antonio, Tx preceded him in death just 3 weeks ago; also one sister, Mrs. Grace Turpin of Newman, Ill died 4 years ago. Mr. Weaver lived for 42 years in Waveland and is very well known to all. He was a member of the Christian Church at Byron and has been engaged in farming since his discharge from the army after WWI. Mr. Weaver spent 18 months in france in1 918 and 1919. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 in the Machledt Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies of Crawfordsville will officiate. Burial will be in the Wolfe Creek Cemetery in Wallace. - kbz

Waveland, Oct. 18th -- A large company of relatives and friends gathered at the Machledt Funeral home to pay their last respects to the memory of Guy E. Weaver. Rev. John Servies had charge of the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Fred Mitchell and Mrs. Phil Hunsicker who sang In the Garden, Beyond the Sunset and Good Might Here, Good Morning Over There. They were accompanied by Mrs. Forrest Coleman. Pallbearers were Henry Hickman, George Harmon, William Shular, Raymond Hannah, Lowell Spencer and Fred McNutt. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery. - kbz
