COLFAX, July 5 -- John M. Waugh, 80, retired banker and farmer and a lifelong resident of the Colfax community, died Saturday at 9:10 p.m. at his home, of complications arising from a two-year illness.

  Born near Colfax, November 20, 1861, he lived in Montgomery county until coming to Colfax about 30 years ago.  Mr. Waugh was twice married, in 1882 wedding Sarah Clouser, who died in 1903, and later marrying Jeanette Lutz.  He was a member of the Masonic lodge and was affiliated with the Methodist church.

  Surviving are wife; two children. L.A. Waugh, banker and farmer and Mrs. Maud Jordan of Colfax; also a sister, Mrs. Martha Fisher.

  The body was taken to the Williams funeral home, and will be returned to the residence, where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Caswell Carling officiating; burial in Plainview cemetery. – thanks muches to Kim H – she’s great !
