Susie Gertrude Watts, 77, of 707 S. Washington St., died at 8:32 p.m. Friday in Culver Hospital after an illness of six weeks. Her condition became serious a week ago. Born June 5, 1886 near New Richmond, she was a daughter of Charles A. and Mary A. Smith Wilson. She married Willard W. Watts Dec. 22, 1904 in Crawfordsville. He died Dec. 22, 1954. Mrs. Watts lived in Coal Creek Township until they came to Crawfordsville in 1922. She was a charter member of the Round Hill Community Aid. Survivors include tow sons, Marlowe of Rt. 4 and Jack of Pittsboro; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Watts of Rt. 4 and Betty Watts of Pittsboro; three grandchildren, Mrs. Virginia Todd of Crawfordsville and Lisa C. and Jay B. Watts of Pittsboro; a great-grandson, John Thomas Todd of Crawfordsville, and a sister, Mrs. A. W. Faust of Crawfordsville. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday and after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. John Servies, assisted by Rev. Richard Clayton of Mt. Zion will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery north of Elmdale.
