Waynetown - James M. Watts, 81, a resident of Waynetown for more than 50 years, died Saturday afternoon in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been a truck driver for several Waynetown area firms. Mr. Watts was a veteran of WWI and received the Purple Heart and Victory Medal for injuries received fighting in France. He was a member of Waynetown United Methodist Church. World War I Barracks at Crawfordsville and Disabled American Veterans Post at Crawfordsville. Mr. Watts was born in Fountain County April 2, 1895, a son of Harvey and Cordelia Watts. He was married to Ethel Fugate 13 Oct 1928. She survives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Ernest hayden officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
