James Watts, 76, of 412 E. Jefferson St., retired employe of Northern Indiana Public Service Co. at Valparaiso, died Monday morning at Culver Hospital, where he was a patient four weeks. He was a native of Baron County, Kentucky, born March 4, 1894 to Barney and Frances Hope Watts. He attended schools in Baron County and was a World War I veteran. He was married Jan. 26, 1926 to Elizabeth Jane Potter at Paris, Ill. She died two years ago. Mr. Watts was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Shotts of Linden. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Powers Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Jump the minister and burial in the Clinton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
