Watts - Hannah Matthews

Hannah Watts, wife of William Watts, died at the family residence on south Walnut street, on Saturday at 12:30 of complications of diseases, at the age or 40 years. The maiden name of the deceased was Hannah Matthews. She was born at Sheffield, England, in 1847 and came to New York, with her parents in 1851. In 1861 they removed to Danville, Illinois, where she met and married William Watts, October 22, 1868. Six children were born to them, one of whom died a few years ago. Mrs. Watts has been a member of the Episcopal church from childhood and has lived an exemplary and Christian life. The funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. Johns Episcopal church by Layman Geo. L. Bell; Interment at Old Town cemetery - thanks to Kim H
