Newtown—Mrs. Anna Watts of Newtown died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in a Crawfordsville nursing home where she had been a patient the last two months. Born Dec. 14, 1880 a mile west of Newtown, she was a daughter of George Washington and Viola Hatton Shultz. She married John Watts on Dec. 28, 1929 at Paris, Ill. He died Jan. 20, 1960. Survivors include a brother, Lester Shultz of Newtown; a step-daughter, Zella Acord of Danville, Ill.; a step-son, Ralph Watts of Marcellus, Mich., and 23 step-grandchildren and 37 step-great-grandchildren. Four brothers and four sisters are deceased. Mrs. Watts was a member of the United Methodist Church here. She attended the old Brick and Newtown elementary schools. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Walter Williams the minister and burial in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
