LINDEN - Earl Watt, 83, Rt. 13, Lafayette, died Friday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He had been in failing health for two years and was a patient in the hospital since Monday. Mr. Watt was born in Glasgow, Ky. He moved to the community near Linden from Russellville three years ago. Mr. Watt was a retired iron worker. He married Helen E. Conkright who died in 1938. He later married Mary Fletcher who died in 1966. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Morgan, of Whitesville, and Mrs. Edith Ruffner of New Richmond; three sons, Dallas of Delphi, Jack and Charles; two brothers, 15 grandchildren and 12 great - grandchildren. Services will be conducted by Rev. Richard Baker at 2 p.m. Monday in Helms Funeral Home. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
