Watson - William - 1902

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 14 March 1902

A telegram was received by Samuel Watson from GA Eldredge at Knightstown Wednesday morning announcing the death of Mr. Watson’s son, William who had been suffering from heart trouble. He has been sick for several days and Mr. Eldredge went over Sunday neither Mr. Watson or his wife being able to get out of the house both being sick themselves. Mr. Watson was quite well known in this city and leaves a wife and four children, his son, John Watson, being a student in Wabash College. Mr. Watson was 49 years old and was married at Knightstown and the interment occurred in that city Friday morning. Mr. Watson was a splendid citizen an dhis death was a peculiarly sad one coming as it does in the prime of life and in the midst of a successful business career. - kbz
