WALLACE - Minnie Watson, 91, a life resident of Wallace, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Abeline Hendricks, in Crawfordsville Sunday morning. She had been ailing for several months. She was a member of Wallace Freedom Christian Church and received her education in Jackson Township, Fountain County. She was born Feb. 24, 1880, the daughter of Issac and Cassinda Philpott Davis. In November, 1899, she married Charles Watson of Wallace. Surviving besides Mrs. Hendricks are two sons, Lloyd of Muncie and Frank of Elwood; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Utterback, Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Lloyd (Marie) Carpenter of Wallace; a sister, Mrs. Opal Reed of Greencastle; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and four brothers. Services for Mrs. Watson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown, with Rev. George Souza officiating. Burial will be in Zackmire Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. -- jlr
