Friday- Goldie Watson, 74, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of Eileen Shahan. A native of Tippecanoe County, she was born Jan. 4, 1889 to James and Mary Jane Davis Surber. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church and was employed at the DeKalb Seed Co. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Pickett of Ventura, Calif.; a brother, Hobart Surber of Crawfordsville; a granddaughter, Anita Marie Pickett, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Luther officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
