New Market - Mrs. Bessie A. Watson, 85, died at 11 a.m. Sunday here at the home of a son, Rev. Ralph Watson. She had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke four weeks ago. She was born July 27, 1878, at Waynetown, a daughter of Jasper and Katherine Henshaw Zuck. She married Norris Welby Watson May 7, 1899. They were married at Waynetown. Mrs. Watson was a member of the Waynetown Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Watson spent their married life in Wallace and Waynetown communities. After Mr. Watson’s death in 1951 Mrs. Watson lived in Waveland for a period of time, moving to the home of her son eight years ago. Survivors include the son, a brother, Ernest Zuck of Crawfordsville; a grandson, Darrell Watson of Browns Valley; a nephew, Gerald Zuck of Omaha, Neb.; and a niece, Mrs. Eula Zuck Edwards of near Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.
