Roscoe Bailey Watkins, 81, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 820 S. Washington St. He was born June 1, 1880, in Montgomery County, the son of Joseph M. and Marcia Bailey Watkins. He married Josephine Sikes. They were married in Atlanta, Ga. Surviving are four sisters, Miss Clay Watkins and Miss Grace Watkins, both of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Ethel Gott of Chicago and Mrs. Floyd Dickerson of Ladoga; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Hilton Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
