Robert Wasson, son of William and Frances Wasson was born near Simsonville, KY Sept 23, 1822 and departed this life at the home of his son in Boulder, Colo. Aug 25, 1915 aged 92 years, 11 months 2 days. When he was about 18 years of age he, with his parents, moved to near Brown’s Valley, Ind where he resided until March 1865 when he moved to near Edgar, Ill.  There settling on a farm and devoting his time to his farming interests and the buying of grain until 1890 when he moved to Christman, Ill where he resided until the year 1911 since which time he has made his home with his son in Boulder, Colo.  He was united in marriage to Mary J. Vancleave Oct 17, 1842 who departed this life Jan 16, 1910.  He united with the Bloomfield (?) Primitive Baptist Church of Bloomington (?) Illinois in March 1878 and has always remained a faithful member. About 65 or 70 years ago he joined Crawfordsville Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and at the time of his death held his membership with Bloomfield Lodge No 148 of Chrisman, Ill.  He leaves a son WA Wasson of Boulder, Colo; ;one sister of Crawfordsville, Ind; one brother in Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a host of more distant relatives and friends. = kbz
