Washburn- Manner - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

New Richmond, Dec 11 – Dr. Manner Washburn, 91, who had practiced medicine in New Richmond for the past 66 years died at 4:45 p.m. today at his home here.  He was born south of here, Aug 2, 1849 the son of Nicholas and Jane Washburn. He had lived near New Richmond and Linden his entire life, teaching school at Linden at the age of 14.  He was a charter member of the F&AM Lodge of New Richmond.  He was a  member of the New Richmond Methodist Church. In 1870, he married Sarah Elizabeth Simison. Surviving are a daughter, Muse Washburn at home and a son, Nicholas, Lafayette. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the residence. Rev. Earl Moore officiating, burial in New Richmond cemetery.  King Funeral Home of Linden is in charge.
