Nicholas L. Washburn, 80, a resident of 928 State Street died in St. Elizabeth Hospital at 6 p.m. Saturday just 40 hours after his wife, Mrs. Lillian (Kennedy) Washburn passed away at the hospital., Both had been in failing health for several months. Double funeral services will be held for the couple. Born in Linden, he was married in 1925 and was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He was employed for several years in the advertising department of the Journal and Courier and had previously been a salesman for the Rosenthal Clothing Company. Surviving are a sister, Miss Muse Washburn of New Richmond and two daughters, by a previous marriage, Mrs. Mary Donovan of New York, NY and Mrs. Imogene Koeneke of Blue Island, Ill.
