Mrs. Jessie L. Warren, 70, died at her home, 512 Whitlock Avenue, Thursday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock after a long illness with cancer. She was born near Alamo on Nov 23, 1856, the daughter of George and Clara Lindsey McKinsey. On June 1, 1876 she became the bride of William Brown who died in 1889. She was later married March 8, 1919 to George W. Warren who passed two years ago. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Christian Church of this city.
She leaves five children: Clara Shurr Brown at home; Everett E. Brown living in the state of Washington; Mrs. Charles Groves of near Linnsburg; Howard Brown living north of this city and Mrs. Charles A. Smith of Newark, O. A half brother and half-sister also survive. The funeral will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. JH Wilson of the First Christian Church will be in charge and burial will be at the Masonic cemetery at Waynetown - kbz
