Mr. and Mrs. Chas Warren have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends in this neighborhood in the death of their son, Guy. That dread disease spinal meningitis soon ended the young life which was so hopefully begun. He bore his suffering twelve days manfully, then sweetly fell asleep to awaken with his two little sisters, who only preceded him nine months. -s

Guy Warren, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas Warren, died Friday of spinal meningitis after an illness of ten days. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Christian Church, the services being conducted by Rev. Crim, of Crawfordsville. The deceased was born in 1890 and departed this life April 28, 1899. He leaves a father, mother and two brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
Guy was a sweet and obedient child and was loved by all who knew him. He bore his sufferings without a murmur, death coming as a blessed relief. One more link in the chain is broken; God has transplanted one more little flower in his kingdom. Remember the words of the Savior: “Unless you become as a little child, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.” We ought to make our lives here on earth, so that we can safely pass through the “Valley and Shadow of Death” and meet our loved ones on the other side where there is no sorrow, no sickness, and no death. The bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community -s
