NEW RICHMOND — Earl L. Warren Sr., 74, a retired Nickel Plate Railroad telegrapher, died suddenly late Wednesday afternoon at his residence here. He had lived in the New Richmond community since January 1921. Mr. Warren was born May 11, 1894, at Donnellson, Ill., the son of Elias A. and Laura C. Stevenson Warren. He married Lois White Aug. 24, 1918, at Wingate. Mr. Warren lacked 40 days of having 55 years' service with the railroad. He was a member of the Railway Telegraphers Association; a 50-year member of New Richmond Masonic Lodge No. 604, and a director of the New Richmond Savings and Loan Association for 34 1/2 years. He was a member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church. one son, CWO 4 Earl L. Warren Jr., who is stationed in Germany; a sister, Miss Luna I. Warren of Hillsboro, Ill.; two granddaughters, Miss Marlene Warren of New Richmond and Mrs. Kathlene Game of New Mexico, and two grandsons, Earl L. Warren III and Joseph A. Warren, both in Germany. One brother preceded Mr. Warren in death. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Helms Funeral Home.

NEW RICHMOND — Services for Earl L. Warren Sr., 74, a retired Nickel Plate Railroad telegrapher, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Helms Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Schenck officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Warren died suddenly late Wednesday afternoon at his residence. Survivors include the widow, Lois; one son, CWO 4 Earl L. Warren Jr., who is stationed in Germany; a sister, Miss Luna I. Warren of Hillsboro, Ill., two granddaughters, Miss Marlene Warren of New Richmond and Mrs. Kathlene Game of New Mexico, and two grandsons, Earl L. Warren III and Joseph A. Warren, both in Germany.
