WARREN, Mary Kelley - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

EK Warren well known West Lafayette photographer received word Saturday morning of the death of his mother Mrs. Mary Warren 62 who died rather suddenly at her home in Waynetown at 2 o’clock Saturday morning after an illness dating from last Thursday.  Death was attributed to heart trouble and although she was known to be seriously ill, her death was a shock to her many friends and relatives in Lafayette, who she had visited a number of times.  Mrs. Warren was the daughter of Edward and Martha Lowman Kelley being born in Crawfordsville where she spent most of her life.  For a number of years she taught in the Montgomery County public schools and in 1892 married Ora E. Warren who died in 1921 at Crawfordsville.  Since her husband’s death she and her sister, Miss Agnes Kelley had made their home together in Waynetown.  She was a member of the Waynetown Methodist Episcopal church.  Surviving besides those previously mentioned are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Barnes and Mrs. Nell Cunningham and a granddaughter, Mary Frances Cunningham all of South Fourth Street, this city.  A brother, Fred Kelley of Darlington also survives with two grandchildren.  The body was prepared for burial at Schuler Undertaking Parlors, Waynetown and funeral services will be held from the family home Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock with the Rev. AH Kenna of Indianapolis officiating.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
